Pamela Anderson's cocaine confession

Pamela Anderson has confessed to taking cocaine.

The former "Baywatch" actress experimented with the Class A drug when she was younger but insists she didn't enjoy the effects the illegal substance had on her.

Anderson, 42, said in an interview with British talk show host Jeremy Kyle which aired Wednesday: "Well I've tried it and I don't like it. I'm completely hyper and it actually doesn't work for me. I've dabbled in things."

The blonde star - who has 2 sons, Brandon, 12, and 11-year-old Dylan, from her failed marriage to Motley Crue rocker Tommy Lee - admits she still drinks on occasions and can still "get crazy" when she wants to.

She explained: "I haven't had a drink in a month, I don't drink. Champagne - sometimes I'll drink it and I'll get a little crazy, doing backflips and, you know, wrestling people on the floor, but I'm taking a break right now, my friend calls it 'detox so you can retox.'"

Anderson is currently living in a trailer with her sons while her Malibu home is being renovated, and she admits the troubled development has turned into such a nightmare she is going to sell the property.

She said: "I'm going to sell it. I hate it. People commit suicide over constructions. Relationships break down over constructions and I can see why. It rips your heart out."

The actress-and-TV star has spent millions of dollars renovating the house, including having solid gold tiles put down around the pool and platinum tiles laid in other parts of the property, and is being sued by five building firms over unpaid bills.

Francis M., We Salute You!

Ngayong tanghali lang, in-announce sa Eat Bulaga ang pagpanaw ng Master Rapper na si Francis Magalona. He was 44 years old.

Francis, Kiko to his close friends, was diagnosed with leukemia in August last year. He informed his friends and fans about his condition in the noontime show, but appealed to them, "I don't want a media circus. I want privacy with my family."

His wishes were respected, pero sinundan pa rin ng mga tao -- most especially by his fans -- ang what seemed to be, at the time, his road to recovery.

Glad to be home

starsSometime in October, Francis M. was able to return sa Eat Bulaga to perform with Ely Buendia who was then recently discharged from the hospital. Afterwards, he said: "Ang feeling ko, last time I stepped there was August 4, you know it's been a long journey -- sometimes sad, sometimes painful, sometimes happy, and hopeful, and now, to step actually in the studio, grab on the microphone, perform, see all the people -- I'm very happy, I'm glad to be home."

Then, Francis says that he's getting by with prayers--"The Lord, I always pray to him, my children and family, and all the people who have been praying for me -- my followers, supporters, of course, Eat Bulaga family. They've been with me throughout this journey, and I'm still undergoing treatment. In December I'll do my third chemotherapy treatment for the year. This is all part of maintenance program."

During all this, the Master Rapper was still very vocal about his gratitude for his Eat Bulaga family. "I'd like to thank, of course Mr. Tony Tuviera, the TAPE staff, of course, Eat Bulaga, Tito, Vic and Joey, [those] who have donated their effort and time to do these fundraisers, sina Richard Gomez, Bagets group, sina ate V, my doctors at the Medical City, nurses, all of them thank you very much. And of course, I would also like to thank Senator Richard Gordon, for helping me sa blood ko sa Red Cross, si tita Rosa Rosal, my sisters, the Bosconians, Ms. Malou Fagar, Allan K. If your name escapes me right now, you know who you are, from the bottom of my heart, thank you, thank you much."

Francis had a breakthrough sa kanyang sakit, and he even scheduled a live chat with iGMA so he could get to spend some time with his fans online. But he had to cancel his appearance for another hospital trip.

Return to the hospital

Pia Arroyo-Magalona sent iGMA a text message to say so:
Monday, November 17, 2008 -- "Francis is very enthusiastic about gracing your live chat activity which we scheduled with you way in advance of Nov 26. Unfortunately, I think I will have to ask you to maybe postpone the event for now, while it's still a while away. He is in hospital again for tests to find out what is causing his almost-daily intermittent fevers."

Sa Showbiz Central, Francis was interviewed about his return to the hospital at ito ang sinabi niya: "Well, since my last chemotherapy session, I did one transfusion of apheresis platelets and then after that I've been having intermittent fever. So I've been having some chills and I decided to go to the doctor lately (last Friday, November 14). My doctor [however] flew to the States, [so] I saw another doctor, upon her recommendation. And then 'yun.

"All throughout, they had me tested, they wanted to pinpoint where it was coming from. They thought I had this kind of thing and this kind of thing. All results naman were good. I did a CT scan just recently a couple of nights ago, and it's okay. So right now, I'll be doing a bone marrow extraction, probably by Tuesday, and then I might do my third cycle for chemotherapy as part of the maintenance I have," kuwento ni Francis about the treatment he is receiving.

Last January, Francis posted his last public blog entry sa kanyang multiply site where he announced that he was preparing for his 4th Chemotherapy cycle.

At the time of his death, Francis had been working on a 8-single release that was supposed to come out as a full album later on. He was also working with fellow celebrities who had been diagnosed with life-threatening illness for a special project called "The Sickos".

Sa pagpanaw ni Francis M., he left behind his wife, Pia and their eight children.

Francis Magalona succumbs to deadly cancer

Yes early today Francis Magalona succumbs to deadly cancer, I can't even load the page

MANILA, Philippines - Master rapper Francis Magalona, 44, passed away Friday.

Vic Sotto confirmed the news over GMA's noontime show Eat Bulaga and asked for a minute of prayer for the eternal repose of the singer-composer's soul.

Magalona's battle with leukemia was made public last year. In a public statement last April 14, he admitted he was battling with the malady.

A blood drive was subsequently announced for the singer.

The 44-year-old singer-composer told the Philippine Entertainment Portal last December 2008 that he survived a delicate medical condition days before he was dispatched from a hospital.

"Akala ko kasi magki-Christmas ako sa ospital, e, [I thought I would spend Christmas in the hospital] because I had a very, very, very close brush with death last December 4. I went into septic shock and it was a very scary moment," he said in an earlier interview.

It was announced last year that Magalona was scheduled for a bone marrow transplant.

"My doctor said I'm in remission right now after my third chemo cycle. So, my next move would be to do the bone marrow transplant and I'm very happy to announce that I was able to find a match. One of my sisters from the States we have the same tissue typing so she would be my donor," he added. - Amita O. The last scholar to enter the Academy, Ranjit Singh is a familiar face and name in showbiz. He has joined quite a number of star quests and competitions, the latest being a video jock quest at Myxx where he ended up as a finalist.
One of his first experiences with music, a memory he dearly keeps till now, is with the marching band at school where he played both drum and lyre. Beyond this, most of his memories are about his “kalokohan.” But he had to grow up fast and carry on personal battles. When his father left the family, he had to step in and face the responsibility of an eldest child.

Will he prove to be just as responsible and competitive inside the Academy?

In Manila, Laarni came face to face with more hardships and suffering.Without her family to turn to, she found a lot of friends who shared her interest and passion in singing. Through them, her knowledge in music was enhanced, boosting up her confidence to sing.

Her voice as her asset, Laarni found ways to send herself to school. To graduate from college would be the first step toward fulfilling her promise to her family. But when the opportunity for a showbiz career knocked, she chose to drop school for the meantime and give PinoyDreamAcademy a try. With PDA, she could find herself delivering her promise of achievements to her family earlier than she expected.

Years later, with the karaoke fully-paid, Bunny is now a singing sensation in Dumaguete, winning local contests and being paid to sing at weddings and parties.

She doesn’t solely own the crown.Music is a passion that the family shares. Her first voice teacher was her father; her brother Jonathan taught her to play the guitar.Bunny showed so much promise at a very young age that her family pinned all their hopes on her.The let-down came when she got pregnant with her boyfriend. Both were 18 and students.

After all is said and done, Bunny and husband Chivas have been blessed with a cute baby boy who, at age three, already shows musical potential.

Will their PDA scholarship pave the way to the realization of these dreams?

Nephew of Juan Miguel Salvador, of the famous and well-respected Salvador clan, IƱaki took to the theater at age six like it was his playground. The stage was where he spent most of his summer days, performing with professional theater actors we could only admire from the audience booth.

IƱaki prefers to make it on his own through his innate talent rather than flaunt the famous name that he carries. That he has won lead roles by auditioning alongside other actors is an achievement that speaks of his talent.

Will the stage performer, accomplished as he is in the theater scene, find himself the lead role in a reality TV talent search? Will he be able to convey this talent to a wider and more diverse pop audience?

Thanks to her adoptive family, which she calls “very big, very happy, and very gay,” Apple grew up to be bubbly and talented, with a bright, rose-scented path laid out before her towards a dream that not only she owns but is shared by her whole family as well.

Notes on Christian:

Once in a taxi, he was almost molested because the offender thought he was a girl. At the bank, they usually mistake him for a child.Way back in school, he was always the odd guy.

‘Forever be a boy’ could be Christian’s tag line for life.A 25-year-old man inside a teenage boy’s body, he has received more insults in his life than anyone deserves. For those who have taken time to learn about his condition, it’s easy to understand that it’s the result of growth hormone deficiency, a syndrome that has afflicted him since birth.

Despite – and perhaps because of – his condition and everything he has gone through, Christian remains strong, his conviction held fast, and his view of the world and of himself still cheerful. “I know I’m beautiful inside and out, and I know bad words can’t let me down.”

It helps that he has a dream, and holds on to it, and he knows that the Academy will get him there, one way or another.

Musical instrument I’d like to learn:Piano, drums

Greatest achievement:My two greatest achievements: when I finished college and when I was chosen as a finalist in PDA

Biggest frustration: I want to be a model but I know I’ll never be one because I’m too small

Greatest Dream:To be a professional singer

Song of my life:On The Side Of Angels

Quote Me: “You should fight for your life even thru trials… we need to grow, explore and move on.”

Notes on Zhel:

Probably her lola had great dreams for Zhel, thus the early morning trainings at 5:00 when she was too young to even appreciate what it could mean for her later in life. All she knew was that people would go crazy over her whenever she was given the microphone and made to sing in public.

She was able to use this talent as she grew up, gaining popularity in her hometown as she reaped first prizes in local singing contests. Now that she has moved on to a grander scale, it’s just too bad that her lola can’t watch and hear her sing anymore.

But what her lola can’t hear, perhaps her father can.He was never there to listen to her in her every singing contest; he left the family when she was six years old and was never heard from again until she was 20, then disappeared again.Maybe, inside the Academy, her voice will be able to reach out to her father and make him come home again.

First song I ever sang: ABC
Musical instruments I can play: None
Musical instruments I’d like to learn: Guitar
Greatest achievement: I graduated from college.
Biggest failure: When I didn’t finish my studies on time.
Greatest Dream: To be financially stable, be able to support my own family and have our own house.
Songs of my life: I’ll Be, Iris, Next In Line

Quote Me: “My family is the reason I still live.”
Notes on Chivas:
The result of carelessness at a young age sometimes compel people to grow up overnight and embrace responsibility. This is what happened to Chivas who, at 18, found himself the father of an adorable baby boy with his girlfriend, and now wife, Bunny. This is the same woman who gave him the gift of music and taught him to sing.
The retired general’s son never really planned to follow his father’s footsteps, but neither did he plan on making a life in the music industry. But though music, Chivas learned to open up his heart to dream and reach for greater scales.
Now that Chivas and Bunny are both inside the Academy, they have to treat each other both as partners and competition. If it’s for their future as family, they would sing their way through it, hand in hand.
